"One UWI, One Alumni Family"
UWI STAT and YCVC Partnership Agreement

The UWI STAT Climate Change and Advocacy Network (UWI STAT CCAAN) is expanding its reach with a partnership with Youth Climate Voice Caribbean (YCVC).
The YCVC was founded by UWI STAT Alumni Ambassadors Dorain Clarke, who holds a BSc. In Meteorology and Environmental Science from UWI Cave Hill and who is pursuing an MSc in Climate Studies (Coastline Concentration) at UWI St. UWI St. Augustine. UWI STAT through it is CCAAN and the YCVC will collaborate to:
- Co‑develop and implement sustainability-focused outreach programmes for Caribbean youth.
- Share resources, training, and communication platforms to amplify advocacy for climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable development.
- Coordinate joint campaigns, webinars, workshops, and policy dialogues to elevate youth voices on climate issues.
- Promote capacity-building opportunities (e.g., mentorship, skill training, internships) for members of both networks.
- Develop sustainable long-term projects that align with all the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life below Water), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
