The UWI Open Campus was renamed as The UWI Global Campus on August 1, 2023. The UWI Global Campus will be made up of two entities: the former UWI Open Campus and the

International School for Development Justice (ISDJ).

The ISDJ will be a for-profit entrepreneurial income-generating Business School which will offer a new product line: Sustainable Development Goal focused postgraduate academic programmes; delivered in an online format, leveraging the expertise for which the former UWI Open Campus was known. 

The establishment of the newly renamed/rebranded UWI Global Campus will be done on a phased basis. The ISDJ is expected to begin to come on stream by January 2024. The existing professional courses, diplomas, undergraduate and graduate degree programmes of the former UWI Open Campus will still be offered in the new UWI Global Campus and the terms of reference for staff will remain the same. Accreditation is in the process of being transferred. You will also begin to see the term "UWI GO" which stands for UWI Global Online. Alumni of The UWI Open Campus will be alumni of The UWI Global Campus - as our Alumni Relations Mantra says “We are One UWI, One Alumni Family” – Proud Pelicans all!
