"One UWI, One Alumni Family"

Introducing the Mona Campus Alumni Officer (CAO),

Mrs. Natasha Bowen Brown

Natasha Bowen-Brown, a dedicated and professional with a wealth of institutional knowledge and experience in marketing, administration, event coordination and Management. Her journey began with a thirst for knowledge and a passion for excellence. I embarked on my academic pursuits at the University of the West Indies, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Entertainment and Cultural Enterprise Management in January 2013. During her time as a student, she was actively engaged in campus activities and assumed roles of responsibility, honing my organizational and leadership skills.

In January 2001, Natasha’s professional career commenced at the University of the West Indies, Mona School of Business and Management, where I served as a Secretary. In January 2013, she joined The University of the West Indies Marketing as a Marketing Administrative Secretary, a role that allowed her to combine my passion for marketing and event management. She became an essential part of the team, assisting the Director in various capacities, she enjoys planning and executing Graduation and Homecoming activities annually.

Recognizing the importance of continuous learning, Natasha pursued and completed a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications at the University of the West Indies in January 2022. This advanced degree equipped her with an in-depth understanding of marketing strategies, corporate communications, brand management, and content development, among other valuable skills. Throughout her career, I have developed a diverse skill set, including resourcefulness, the ability to work under tight deadlines, motivating others, thriving under pressure, and independence. Her strengths lie in marketing strategies and campaigns, creative team leadership, public and media relations. Natasha’s career has been marked by dedication, growth, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Natasha is pleased to join the team of Alumni Professionals at The UWI as the Campus Alumni Officer for Mona and looks forward to further building alumni engagement.
