"One UWI, One Alumni Family"
In Memory of Kevin Manning

It is with deep sorrow that I acknowledge the untimely and sudden passing of our UWI colleague and fellow alumnus, Kevin Manning. Kevin served as a Project Coordinator in the Office of Global Affairs, UWI Vice Chancellery. It was through my work in Sustainability and Climate Action that I had the honour of meeting and collaborating with him virtually (he was in Barbados and I was in Jamaica) under the banner of the One UWI Responsible Futures Programme, which also falls under the Office of Global Affairs.
Kevin was a bright and committed soul whose passion for development, climate change, sustainable finance, health, human rights, and security was unmistakable. He brought both heart and intellect to every project, and his vision for a more just and sustainable Caribbean future shone through in all he did.
Kevin's energy, integrity, and quiet determination left a mark on those privileged to work with him. We are devastated by the loss of such a promising light, gone far too soon, but we carry forward the legacy of his work and the values he championed. May his memory continue to inspire us all, as fellow UWI Pelicans. Even though Kevin was not known by all who read this, we can all strive for the better world he believed in.
Rest in peace, Kevin. You will be missed deeply and remembered always.
