Alumni’s Visit the Mona Campus in Commemoration of the UWI's 75th Anniversary
Although not pleased that COVID-19 had delayed any previous plans, the UWIAA South East Asia Contact, Michael Morrissey, was delighted that his visit to The UWI coincided with the 75th Anniversary of the institution. Michael is a graduate, as well as a former professor of The UWI. Here he is visiting with the Director of Alumni Relations for The UWI - Celia Davidson Francis and reminiscing about his time at the Mona Campus. Look out for details about the UWI 75th event that he is planning later this year!
The same could be said for Dr. Sheryce Woolery-Balgobin, the Secretary of the UWIAA New York Chapter who was also happy that her trip coincided with The UWI's 75th Anniversary. Here she is (left) being given a tour of The UWI Museum at The UWI Regional Headquarters by the Museum Curator, Dr. Shani Roper (right), along with the Director of Alumni Relations for The UWI. Her Chapter already marked The UWI's 75th by presenting their Pelican Award in April of this year and they are planning another 75th event in September of this year - so look out for those details too!
